Brock Lasso - President

As Founder and President of CHART it has been my pleasure to provide quality renovations to our thousands of customers, since 1980. I have always had a passion for design and renovations that was fueled by my father Don Lasso, a retired builder and visioneer. The next generation of CHART is starting to evolve with my son Corey taking the lead in Architectural Design & Construction. I look forward to the continued dedication to detail that our professional employees provide to each and everyone of our customers.

When I am not working I enjoy family time at the cottage, out for dinner with friends or hitting one of my many favourite golf courses. I look forward to continuing my services to all my past and present customers.

Corey Lasso - Vice President

I really enjoy working with clients that expect a high level of quality, detail and service. As a graduate with an advanced diploma in Architectural Construction Engineering – Technology at Conestoga College I have been trained to understand and implement all stages of construction. I had the pleasure of working for 18 months in Muskoka managing the construction of several large seasonal properties which has given me a great understanding of how to deal with designers, architects and clients with a high level of expectation. I am a certified BCIN designer for the Ontario Building Code for houses, as well as an associate member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technologists.

When I am not working I enjoy playing hockey, studying jiu jitsu, golfing and spending time with my family, dog and friends.

Matt Kocher - Project Manager

I love meeting with clients and discussing their wish list for their renovation. It is always fun to share my design input and implement this into a 3D design program so that the client can visualize their project much easier. I Graduated from the Architectural Construction Engineering – Technology program at Conestoga College in 2013.

In my free time I enjoy designing different structures in Revit. I also like to create realistic representations of different areas called “renderings”. I also enjoy driving and working on different vehicles when I have time.

Bev Harvey - Office Coordinator

I have been working for CHART for the past 10 years.  I enjoy the people I work with, we all work as a team.  I enjoy the fast paced structured work schedules we have.  I like working with the employees and sub trades.   I like to hear the excitement in the customer’s voices when we have finished a home renovation for them.

In my spare time, I enjoy camping as much as possible, spending time with my family and especially my grandchildren, and I love listening to music.

Kelly Lasso - Account Manager

I have officially been working with CHART for 14 years, but as the wife of the President of CHART, I have been involved with the company in many aspects for over 25 years.  I am very proud to be part a company that is family-run, and that is well known around the city for its quality craftsmanship.  My responsibilities within the company are mainly in the finance area.

In my spare time, I enjoy trying new recipes, and spending time outside with our family dog, Oliver.  What I love most is spending time at the cottage with family.

I have been in the construction industry for 35 years starting out as a bricklayer apprentice. I then moved into framing of houses and carpentry work. I’ve always enjoyed doing my own renovations and was never afraid to learn and try something new and therefore, over the years, I was able to gain experience and perfect my skills needed in various aspects of the renovation business. My favorite part about renovations is trim carpentry but there is no greater pleasure then seeing the transformation of a project from beginning to end.

In my spare time I enjoying watching hockey games, dirt biking and of course there are always renovations to do at home.

I’ve been in the construction industry for over 25 years, starting as a carpenter apprentice working on large commercial projects. After about 5 years of working for others I started my renovation business and ran that for 10 years. But running a business and doing the carpentry work took too much time from my family so I went back to what I enjoy most, working the tools. There is a sense of satisfaction that only comes from creating something with your hands and seeing a project through to the end. I enjoy the interaction with the clients, as it is equally important to develop trust and reliability and to assure the clients of the type of professionalism we bring to their home.

After work I enjoy time with my family either hiking, biking, fishing and of coarse, tackling my own home renovations.

Trevor Caven- Foreman/Carpenter

I have been working in home renovations now for nearly ten years. In my experiences so far I have learned a great deal from a great group of mentors, which I hope to pass on to future generations. My ambition is to use my skillset to transform each job into what you see as your dream home. My true love in this career is to watch the transformation from the beginning of the project to the picture of perfect when the job is complete.

After work I love to spend time with my wife. I am an avid fisherman and have a huge passion for the outdoors. We have a trailer that we spend time at whenever possible. I also play hockey, baseball, golf, and horseshoes for fun on the side.

Alf Novak - Foreman/Carpenter

I have been working with CHART for 34 years and have enjoyed every year I have been here working for a growing company. I enjoy trim carpentry, framing and managing sub trades. It is always a pleasure to work on a project and to be able to see the project from start to finish.

In my spare time I enjoy wood working, doing projects around the home and watching television.
